Megan Hill started working with graphic design when she was selected to be the Graphic Design Student Staff Member for the Visual & Performing Arts Center at Le Moyne College. She completed more formal training with Adobe Illustrator through a course at Le Moyne College. Since then, Megan has been commissioned to design theatre posters, personal projects, portraits and more.

Megan has also been honored to have her work shown at multiple galleries. The photo to the left is of Megan visiting the gallery at the Noreen Reale Falcone Library, while her art was on display ("Abstract," top left; "Venice" bottom right). Megan has also spoken and presented at a virtual gallery with Open Call Magazine.

Megan has some designs available on her Redbubble shop, which can be found here.

Megan was honored to have her pieces "Long Distance" and "PDA" selected for publication in Open Call Magazine. "Long Distnance" was selected for a two-page spread and featured story of the magazine. The link to the digital copy of the Summer 2020 publication of Open Call can be found here.

Megan was also invited to a virtual gallery event to discuss these two art pieces and was glad to present her work to the Open Call community and attendees of the gallery event.

Megan's piece, "from Paris, with Love" was also published, used in a marketing campaign for the Visual Design minor at Le Moyne College (albeit this was done without Megan's knowledge, consent, compensation, or creditation of Megan for the work).

All My Love

As a member of the Brooklyn-based theatre collective, Chaos Collective, Megan designed the art for the "All My Love" series. "All My Love" was a creative virtual monologue series that premiered around Valentines Day.

From the Chaos Collective Instagram page: “ALL MY LOVE: Five Pieces of Regret, Rejoice, Retelling, & Remembrance” Written by Irene Benítez, Directed by Sydney Dennison.“All My Love” tells the stories and brings new narratives for five women in Greek Mythology: Aphrodite, Khione, Artemis, Athena, and Persephone.

Megan worked with the production team to make promotional material for the Chaos Collective Instagram page, as well as title art and credits for the final filmed monologues.

Theatre Show Posters

During her time as Graphic Designer for the Visual & Performing Arts Center (PAC) at Le Moyne College, Megan was tasked with creating the marketing posters for the shows of theatre companies Boot n' Buskin and Major Arcana. Megan worked with each director and production team to create posters that captured the spirit of the shows in a visually enticing manner to attract crowds to attend.

Below are a selection of the designs Megan created during her time as the resident graphic designer.

Theatre Show Shirt Designs

Along with her responsibilites to design posters and promotional materials for shows, during her time as Graphic Designer at the PAC, Megan also designed T-shirts. These shirts were sold at a limited run, exclusively for the cast and crew of the shows. These T-shirts not only served as promotional material for the shows, but also mementos for those who were involved.

To see people wearing some of the shirts Megan Hill designed, please see the photos to the left.

Further Work

See below for additional samples of Megan's work, organized roughly by theme or content. Here, Megan demonstrates her breadth of skills in graphic art, from portraits, to landscapes, to abstract art. Megan continues to be inspired by current events and culture, and tries new techniques from the abilities within the Adobe Creative Suite as well as derives inspiration from other art forms, like collaging and painting.
